Spurs Bring The Heat To Miami

Spurs Bring The Heat To Miami!

San Antonio Spurs go on the road and get a big win to regain home court. After losing the last game at home the Spurs bring the Heat to Miami. The secret weapon was the Spurs third year forward, Kawhi Leonard, who put on his fireman hat and dumped cold water on the Miami Heats super star Lebron James. The Spurs roll players have been stepping up big time while the usual suspects of the Heat have gone into hiding... At one point in the game Miami was down twenty points in the first half giving up more first half points then they had in any playoff game this season.

At the start of the second quarter it was Miami turning up the heat cutting the lead to ten but the Spurs were not having it tonight! The Heat had no answer for Leonard or the three point shooting by Danny Green. A seventy percent shooting night for the Spurs was just to much to overcome on the Heats home court this night. This years NBA Finals has been awesome and its just going to get better!

Can Fans Play Nice Together?

Can Fans Play Nice Together?

Sports fans embody a level of passion that can only be described as fanatical, they're so vested in the success and failure of the teams they love that their vision of respect for opposing fans can sometimes be blurred. We want to explore the question, can fans play nice together? We believe they can, the majority of sports fans coexist every day at sporting events all around the World. Its unfortunate the actions of a few bad seeds can bring such negative attention to the such a massively positive group.

Sports fans are represented by such a wide range of characters and personalities that it is actually pretty amazing we don't hear more incidents of mass hysteria at sporting events. The fact of the matter is fans have more in common with each other then not! Can fans play nice together? The answer is yes, definitely... We believe over the next few years the Sports Fan Conference will not only build bridges and bonds of sports fans in other genres, but it will establish relationships that will help end negativity of fans visiting opposing team games!!!

All fans and I mean ALL FANS have the right to express their passion, their support, rep their teams colors and cheer for their team whether they're at home or on the road... No fan of any sport or team should be fearful of wearing or cheering at any stadium or arena and this is an area fans most police ourselves... There's no excuse for behavior that prevents opposing fans from expressing the same passion for their team that you have for yours and if you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem... Yes fans can play nice together and its up to the fans to ensure we do!!!

Can Fans Play Nice Together? Absolutely!

The time has come for sports fans to be more responsible for our actions and more respectful of fellow fans! We can not continue to ignore the issues that we all know exist in the stadiums and arenas we all occupy during our favorite sporting events. We can not place all the responsibility of the organizations we cheer for, it has to come down to all of us stepping up and policing ourselves... Sports fans are the most amazing group of loyal, passionate and supportive people... We should welcome opposing fans with open arms of respect, hell the best way to give an opposing fan grief is the cheering your team onto victory! Please keep this in mind, lets stand for fans! Can fans play nice together? Absolutely!

NBA Finals, 7 The Hard Way

NBA Finals, 7 The Hard Way!

The Miami Heat will host game 7 of the NBA Finals and possibly hoist the Championship trophy over their heads for the second straight year, standing in their way are the four time Champions San Antonio Spurs. Its the NBA Finals, 7 the hard way and no one knows that better then Ray Allen who saved the Heats season with a three pointer from the corner that took the game into overtime. Everyone witnessing the game probably thought the Spurs would be celebrating their fifth NBA Championship on the Heats home floor, but not the Miami Heat Players...

As fans were heading towards the exit in the fourth quarter Heat players were clawing their way back into a game that seemed to be all but lost... NBA officials were roping off the floor, the trophy was being positioned all while the game was still being played. During the posting game interviews several of the Miami Heat players said this was big motivation for the team, they were not going to have a celebration in their house that night... The Heat continue on, its the NBA Finals 7 the hard way!

Playing in the NBA Finals is the dream of every kid hoping to one day put on an NBA uniform, but playing in a game 7 in front of the home fans and family doesn't get any better then that! If you're superstitious you may think game six and the to three pointers Lebron James and Ray Allen hit to get the Heat to a NBA Finals game 7 the hard way is a sign for Miami, but the Spurs have come back to win the every time they've lost this series and that could spell trouble for the Heat... Whatever the outcome of tonight's game 7, game 6 was one for the ages...

NBA Finals, 7 The Hard Way! May Just Be The Best Way!

The best thing about game 7 is its for all the marbles, you don't get another shot! Its win or loose, you have a great summer or you're reliving every mistake and second guessing every play... Tonight fans will be glue to the television packed into the Heat arena or inside the Spurs arena, tonight is the NBA's Superbowl... It's the NBA Finals, 7 the hardy!

Is There A Doc In The House?

Is There A Doc In The House?

Boston Celtics fans have enjoyed the benefits of having Doc Rivers as their Head Coach for the last decade, during his run he brought the organization another Championship and energized the Celtics pride once more. All this talk about him possibly going to another team has fans wondering is there a Doc in the house? Things have heated up between the Celtics and Doc because of the ongoing dialog between Doc and the Los Angeles Clippers. What started out as just whispers around the league as just speculation has become full blown negotiation, including talk of future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett as a possible piece of the puzzle.

Boston General Manager Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers have enjoyed a great relationship over the years publicly, one can only speculate this situation could put a strain on the two mens friendship and jeopardize any possible return of Doc Rivers as Head Coach... As for the reports of him going to the Clippers as their Head Coach it would be great for the fans in LA. The Clippers have a great team of young talent that could use a Coach with Doc's experience, its no wonder why Clipper fans are hoping there is a Doc in the house!

Is there a Doc in the house? Currently Doc Rivers remains the acting Head Coach of the Boston Celtics but as the drama continues to boil you wonder if the Celtics will draw a line in the sand or fire him. This situation is very interesting because Doc is a very good Head Coach so you wonder if they do fire him what would be the reason? Has there been things developing behind the scene that we haven't been privy too? Like most things we will soon find out, the media will dig up all the dirt there is! Personally speaking I think Doc Rivers is perfect for the job with the LA Clippers, he's a well spoken media savvy guy that will take the Clippers more mainstream!

Is There A Doc In The House? Clipper Fans Want To Know...

If Doc Rivers ends up Coaching the Clippers there's one thing for sure, you'll see the Clippers in prime time a lot more then you ever have in the past! At The Point

At The Point!

Former New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd is the new Head Coach for the Brooklyn Nets, he's gone from the floor to the bench but he's still at the point! Kidd has always been a coach on the floor and is known to be well respected by players, his transition into the ranks of Head Coach was expected but maybe not this quick... His selection comes with some trepidation by the prognosticators but to his peer group there's no surprise at all.

There are many former guards that have gone onto experience great success as Head Coaches in the NBA for example; Doc Rivers, Avery Johnson, Byron Scott and Scott Skiles to name a few. I would expect Jason Kidd to join the ranks of a player at the point that does well long term. The big surprise is that the Nets passed on Indiana Pacers Assistant Head Coach Brian Shaw, who has worked with the Los Angeles Lakers under Phil Jackson during the Championship years. Shaw would be more then qualified, even more so then Kidd. In this particular situation, Brooklyn Nets couldn't loose either way!

the Brooklyn Nets current general at the point is Deron Williams, both Jason Kidd and Williams are good friends and have been for years. The relationship between the two is expected to be one of mutual respect and could work well together given the fact Kidd was a player this year and understands the demands placed on a point guard. Williams just wants to win and his direction on the court has been important to every team he's played for. If nothing else its going to be an exciting team to watch when the NBA kicks off next season...

At The Point, Jason Kidd Takes Head Coach Position

Do you think Jason Kidd will be successful as a Head Coach having not spent anytime working as an apprentice under an experienced Coach or will his time at the point be all the experience he'll need? Some players that have been out of the league for years have still not been given the opportunity to be a Head Coach, guys like Patrick Ewing and Brian Shaw may feel its unfair for guys to get a shot at the top without paying their dues. I think Kidd has been preparing for this for several years and is more then ready to take the point to start his second career...
