Stop The Violence, Enough Is Enough

Stop The Violence, Enough Is Enough

This past week Matt Fortese who's been a life long New York Yankee's fan drove 75 miles to watch his team take on the Baltimore Orioles. He was meeting a date, which would be their second, he was taking to the game until it all went terribly bad. Two men that didn't like Matt wearing a Yankee's cap decided to beat him senseless! Matt is currently in serious condition and the two idiots, now in custody, have changed his life forever... Events as senseless as this effect true sports fans deeply, it's time we stop the violence, enough is enough...
Faces of Shame!

Just a few years ago Byran Stow a San Fransisco Giants fan was brutally beat in the parking lot at a Dodgers game, this incident set off serious concern amongst not only sports fans but the teams they cheer for as well... It was time to take a closer look at the issue of visiting fans safety. A concerned fan in Oakland California decided to do more then just talk, she jumped into action. Sports fans lite up the social networks displaying their anger over a fellow fan being injured and support for him and his family... Fans Against Violence was born. Its time to stop the violence, enough is enough!!!
Bryan Stow Leaving the Hospital

Horrific assaults like this recent one of Matt Fortese is a sad reminder of how important it is for teams to be more aware of the issues surrounding visiting fans safety. Teams can not survive on their fan base alone, visiting fans are equally as important and should be treated with the same respect extended to the home teams fans!!!! Well publicized assaults on visiting fans like this is not good for the team, the city or its fan base. What message are you sending to other visiting fans who have planned to attend their favorite teams game. To the fans of all sports and every city across America, stop the violence, enough is enough...

Stop The Violence, Enough Is Enough!

When will fans realize FANS HAVE MORE IN COMMON THEN DIFFERENCE! Violence towards another sports fan that's representing their team is just beyond stupid... Be responsible and respectful of visiting fans help stop the violence, enough is enough! We see and hear some pretty remarkably stupid things from fans but we're not built to judge, we are here to honor and support fans, it's time you honor yourselves...Violence just leads to more violence and we need to remember that our actions dictate and represent our team!
